Privacy Policy
The short version
Blue Hour collects no data. None. The app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," and it means exactly what it says.
What the app stores
Your timer presets and preferences (cues, sounds, screen settings) are stored only on your device. They never leave it. Blue Hour makes zero network calls: there is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDK of any kind.
Notifications
If you turn on the completion nudge, Blue Hour asks iOS for permission to show local notifications. These are scheduled entirely on your device and are never sent through a server, because there is no server.
The daily quote
The almanac line is chosen from a collection of public-domain quotations bundled inside the app. Nothing is fetched, and nothing about your reading habits is recorded.
Purchases
The optional tips in Settings are processed by Apple through the App Store. Blue Hour receives no personal information about you from a purchase. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles App Store transactions.
Children
Blue Hour is calm enough for classrooms and kids, and it collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date. Since the app has no way to collect data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
